I'm John, just a regular sports guy.
I go to the University of Florida where I study Chemical Engineering, a department that fosters no other student interest in the sports world:
"Hey man, did you see Peyton throw 509?!"
"Peyton? Is that an actor? I was busy this weekend calculating the reflex ratio of the distillation column, I didn't have a chance to see any new movies."
Funny because it's true.
I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where I began following the Steelers and the Penguins. Unfortunately, I wasn't born in an era where the Pirates were successful so I didn't follow them that closely.
I started this blog because I torture my girlfriend constantly with sports updates: every minute, of everyday, of every week... and she finally just said, "I love sports, but I never understand what you're talking about. Make a blog or something." So here we are; just a regular sports guy giving you an analysis of the daily workings of the sports industry.
